# Add and customize strategies in your BIP

Pick strategies for each step of your BIP and tailor their text and images to your learner.

### **Add a strategy**

1.  Open your BIP and click a strategy page, for example **Teach: What and How**.
    
2.  Click the dashed **+** tile under a step.
    
3.  Search or use the filters (goal, function, situation) to find a strategy.
    
4.  Hover the strategy and click **Add to BIP**.
    
5.  Add more with the new **+** tile, and fill each step on the page the same way.
    
6.  Click **Save and Close**. Then do the same on the **Prevent: When and How** and **Reward and Respond** pages.
    

### **Quick changes inside the BIP**

On the added strategy tile you can change the **title** and **short description** right away. Hover the image and click **Edit Thumbnail Image** to upload a picture or **Generate with AI**. Click the red trash icon to remove the strategy from this BIP.

### **Customize the full strategy**

1.  Hover the strategy image and click **Open Strategy**, then **View & Customize**.
    
2.  Click **Edit**. You are now in Edit Mode.
    
3.  Click **Edit** on the side panel or on any step card to change text and images, then click **Save** on that panel.
    
4.  Click **Save** at the top. Choose **Save to BIP Only**, or **Save to BIP & Create Template** to also keep a copy in your Strategy Library.
    
5.  Click **Close** to go back to your BIP.
    

> **Warning:** You need both saves: the panel **Save** and the top **Save**. A red banner reminds you when changes are not applied yet.
